BASIC FUNCTION The IT Technician is to provide hardware and software support to the property. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Gaming Operation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED). Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age upon employment. Previous customer service experience preferred. Working knowledge of the operation of computer and communication systems. 2 years minimum professional experience in the installation, maintenance, and operation of computer, voice and/or data communications preferred. AS/400 experience a plus. Reliable transportation and ability to drive to multiple sites on a daily basis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Monitors the operation of computing and communications systems and or facilities for acceptable levels of performance. Performs diagnostic tests to isolate sub-optimal system performance and failing equipment components. Performs installation and operational verification of new systems and facilities. Maintains equipment inventory and preventative maintenance schedules. Cross-trains in other technical systems functions. Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, providing hands‑on or vendor supplied repair of components as appropriate. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Attend all necessary meetings. Assist in other projects as directed. Prioritizes activities at the direction of the Senior IT Technician. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
