Spicer Group is seeking an IT Technician to join our Information Technology Group. This position requires physical presence and serves as the first level of support. The IT Technician will play a vital role in maintaining the functionality, security, and efficiency of our IT systems and infrastructure. As the first point of contact for technical support, you will assist employees with hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Responsibilities include installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing technical problems, and supporting system upgrades and IT asset management. You will also contribute to the implementation of new technologies and help maintain documentation and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-service mindset. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, offering opportunities to grow and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative IT environment. POSITION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Basic understanding of computer systems and networks Basic knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Server environments preferred Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education, training, experience (e.g., certifications CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills FOR MORE INFORMATION For more information regarding our firm and/or this position, please visit the Spicer Group website at .
