Janitorial Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning Duties:

   • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
   • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
   • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
   • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
   • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
   • Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including sinks, countertops, and appliances.
   • Refill soap, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers as needed.
   • Clean and maintain entryways and common areas.

2. Maintenance Tasks:

   • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and repairing fixtures.
   • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel.
   • Monitor building security and report any suspicious activity.
   • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.

3. Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations:

   • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
   • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately.
   • Adhere to sanitation standards and guidelines.

4. Communication:

   • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding tasks and responsibilities.
   • Report any issues or concerns promptly.
   • Provide excellent customer service to building occupants and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
