SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION

In partnership with Toshiba TEC, we operate state-of-the-art facilities in Lawrenceville.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in a dynamic and safety-focused environment within our Toner Department at the Lawrenceville campus. Contribute to our mission of being a top player in the office printing industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new product preparation plans, including investment analysis, equipment setup, and adherence to industrial standards.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance production efficiency, techniques, and yields for existing products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost production performance and quality.
  • Design and create drawings for fixtures, tools, and locally sourced parts.
  • Support and engage in Kaizen activities across all manufacturing types, including preparation, filling, and assembly.
  • Knowledge of multifunction printers and the electrophotographic process, as well as print quality evaluation, is a plus.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, identify root causes, implement solutions, and verify their effectiveness.
  • Enhance existing production lines through engineering change requests (ECRs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and quick responses to ergonomic and safety concerns.
  • Develop and revise assembly processes, troubleshooting procedures, equipment setup documents, and preventive maintenance guidelines.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports with root cause analysis and supporting data.
  • Create training materials for production and maintenance personnel on equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Occasional travel to Baja Mexico (1 to 2 times per year) may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese (both written and oral).
  • Proficient in electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles for developing and maintaining manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for creating technical plans, blueprints, electrical layouts, and mechanical drawings.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering technology applications in product manufacturing.
  • Strong mathematical, statistical analysis, and research skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, project management, and presentation abilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
