Japanese / English Bilingual Plant Sales Representative

Location: Greensboro, NC

Salary range: $50K - $60K DOE

Job Overview: This position will be based in the Greensboro, NC area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sales services, coordinating projects, and ensuring timely product delivery to automotive-related customers.

The Plant Sales Representative will need a solid understanding of automotive production processes and machine specifications. Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese are essential, as you will interact with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions. The role will also require travel to customer job sites within the United States to observe production lines and discuss customer requirements for accurate quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer needs and prepare detailed quotations.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, providing regular reports to management.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Oversee project management from order initiation to successful delivery.
  • Leverage knowledge of automotive production processes to support sales activities.
  • Act as a bilingual liaison, communicating effectively with both English- and Japanese-speaking customers and suppliers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Regular travel to customer job sites (2-3 times per month) for site visits, production line observations, and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
  • At least 1 year of B2B sales experience.
  • Experience in project management, including managing orders from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of automobile manufacturing equipment, including production line layout and machine specifications.
  • Experience in sales/cost analysis, reporting, and cost negotiation.
  • Proven track record of promoting and selling company products and services.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Japanese, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
