Role Java Backend Developer — Lead II - Software Engineering Responsibilities Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, web developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of Java applications into business systems. Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring that the software operates as intended. Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. Document code, APIs, and system architectures to facilitate future maintenance and onboarding. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security, analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvements. What you need Required Skills Mandatory: Java, Spring Boot, Azure, Kafka Good to have: Kubernetes integrations Desired Skills 5-7 years hands-on experience in Java development at enterprise level (recent) Strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and familiarity with Java frameworks Understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building and deploying microservices-based applications Hands-on experience in developing Spring Boot applications, including dependency injection, ORM (Object-Relational Mapping), and REST API development Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices, including automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment strategies Proficiency in writing SQL queries as per industrial standards, fine-tuned for optimization Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team The evaluation includes an hands on coding/troubleshooting exercise and should be able to articulate past projects and do on the fly troubleshooting/ write logic Role Location & Compensation Role Location: Arkansas Compensation Range: $82,000-$123,000 Benefits Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave per year (pro-rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus Company-paid life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico. Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching.
