Java Developer - Backend

Java Developer - Backend: On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer - Backend for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client's Southlake, TX/Dallas, TX office. Job Description: The project involves developing innovative and scalable backend solutions for enterprise-wide applications. The Java Developer will work on designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems to support high-volume transactions in a highly available environment. Responsibilities: • Develop architectural diagrams/documents, software codes, and automated test scripts • Write efficient, easy-to-follow technical documentation • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical counterparts • Architect and develop effective solutions in line with the organization's vision • Participate actively in product design and development sessions • Collaborate with Business System Analysts to identify, define, and document business/technical requirements • Ensure timely delivery of technical project and release deliverables Mandatory Skills: • 8-10 years of experience with Java, Spring Framework, cloud development, and Web Services (REST, SOAP) • Experience supporting high-volume transactions in a highly available environment • Strong software development methodology knowledge, including Agile development processes • CI/CD understanding and experience • Experience with Atlassian tools: Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, and Confluence • Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) • Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, and RabbitMQ Nice-to-Have Skills: • Financial services or banking experience • Risk management system experience • Strong mentoring and knowledge-sharing ability • Test data management experience • Experience developing Visio diagrams Assignment Length: This is a 6-month contract position. Start Date: ASAP Assignment Location: Southlake, TX / Dallas, TX - Hybrid, on-site 4 days per week.
