Position Description
Become part of a team to help a large government agency to support the maturing of the agency's service delivery capabilities and data analytics reporting capabilities. SnapRecruit is seeking a Senior Application Developer to support a large data modernization project for a federal agency.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's client/server software applications.
- Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience
- Experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, JPA, JSP, XML, Struts and JSON technologies
- Needs recent hands on experience developing service oriented applications using REST and SOAP based Web Services.
- Experience migrating Java applications from mainframe to Cloud
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and AWS.
- Experience with Struts, Spring and/or Hibernate Frameworks.
- Experience with Java Batch applications.
- Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with NodeJS and Angular a plus
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
