Senior Java Developer Payrate: $75.00 - $80.00/hr. Summary: Senior Java Developer responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, maintaining, and enhancing software applications in accordance with computer engineering specifications. This role involves building software prototypes, supporting application updates and enhancements, collaborating with Quality Assurance teams on test planning, and delivering high-quality software solutions using Java and related technologies. Candidates should possess extensive development experience and demonstrate strong technical proficiency in enterprise application development. Responsibilities: Code, test, and debug software applications according to computer engineering specifications. Modify, expand, maintain, and update existing applications to support business and technical requirements. Develop software prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions. Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to develop and execute software test plans. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and support. Troubleshoot software defects and implement corrective solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation related to software development activities. Ensure software quality, performance, and reliability through established development practices. Requirements: Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A two-year technical degree may be considered when combined with several years of relevant practical experience. Experience Requirements: Level IV – Senior professional with 9+ years of relevant software development experience. Demonstrated experience developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software applications. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and technical stakeholders. Required Skills: Strong programming skills in Java. Experience coding, testing, and debugging software applications. Experience modifying, enhancing, and maintaining existing software solutions. Experience developing software prototypes and proof-of-concept applications. Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. Exposure to C# and/or C++. Experience working with HTML. Exposure to Microsoft.NET technologies. Experience working with SQL Server. Ability to collaborate effectively with Quality Assurance teams on software testing activities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Preferred Skills: Exposure to multiple programming languages and development frameworks. Experience working in complex software development environments. Ability to support application enhancements and ongoing software modernization initiatives. Experience contributing to software quality improvement efforts and testing strategies. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $75.00 - $80.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
