Job Summary As a Java Developer, you will work with our client to support the analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications. Job Description We are looking for a Java Developer to support the analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications. This position will be full-time 1+ year contract and hybrid . Candidates must be currently within a 1-hour commute of Trenton with the ability to work onsite 3-days per week. Only candidates not requiring sponsorship now or in the future will be considered. What You'll Do Develop backend services and enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and related technologies Participate in application analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, enhancement, and production support activities Build and maintain server-side rendered user interfaces using Thymeleaf Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria Manage source code and participate in code reviews and branch management activities using Git Build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps tools, or similar technologies Design, develop, and maintain relational database schemas with an emphasis on normalization, validation, and data integrity Support deployment activities and perform basic server administration functions Contribute to front-end development using HTML and CSS Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical issues What You'll Need Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 7 years of hands-on experience with Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Spring Boot, J2EE, and related backend development frameworks 7 years of experience using Maven or similar build and dependency management tools 5 years of experience using Git version control systems 5 years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 5 years of experience with HTML and CSS 5 years experience with Thymeleaf 3 years of experience working with relational databases including PostgreSQL or RDS environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to software quality Preferred: 5 years of experience performing requirements gathering, business analysis, and user story development 5 years of experience creating use case documentation and business process flows Successful completion of an IT certification program, accredited college training, and/or graduate-level technology education Full-time professional experience developing and supporting enterprise IT applications Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor #LI-JH1 Reasonable accommodation statement If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 - 8111.
