java| mainframe developer - remote Apply
We are looking for a Java/ Mainframe Developer to join our team. Our mainframe developer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, and related processes to meet the functional objective of the business. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of experience with Mainframe Java Development, Agile Methodology, and has experience troubleshooting. If you have worked in the financial industry that is a plus.

responsibilities:
Assesses system, application, provides modeling and simulation consulting to clarify client technology functionality, and evaluates & implements new advanced technologies
Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions
Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project
Responsible for assignments and tasks to meeting project deliverables
Assist in project analysis and discovery
Project coding and perform technical solutions designs and individual development tasks
Assist in unit, integration, QA, and regression testing as needed
Perform production defect troubleshooting and resolution
Tier 3 support: Open internal and external (vendor) tickets to assist in problem resolution, escalate production support issues appropriately, and provide updates to service tickets
Assist the customer service and implementation teams with routing or emergency client support tasks (triage)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field or equivalent experience required
5 plus years of experience in financial industry
5 plus years of experience in technologies (COBOL, with some ALC,) used by product along with working knowledge of standard coding practices
5 plus years of experience in product application and infrastructure experience (MQSeries, FTP, MVS, CICS, JCL/PROC)
Working knowledge of product framework and available tools (Endevor, CA7, TPX, TSO, SyncSort)
Working knowledge of trouble shooting and debugging methods (Intertest/SYMDump)
Working knowledge of PCI, OWASP, and other security standard
Working knowledge of SDLC, TFS and JIRA standards and practices
Excellent technical, code, and process documentation skills
