JAVA UI Developer

Location: Champaign, IL Duration: 6+ Months Contract CLIENT is growing and expanding operations in Champaign IL and building collaborations with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are seeking a Web Developer to join the team in Champaign to support its operations. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to build up a full stack web portal from scratch with a 2-3 person team. Responsibilities Lead development initiatives on technical projects and mentor team members. Utilize Java server-side technologies to tie front and back end platforms together Create rich, compelling user interfaces using JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS and the latest in client-side technologies Requirements 5+ years of JavaScript experience (including, but not limited to AJAX, DOM manipulations, JSONP, event models etc.) and related libraries such as React, Angular, or Node 3+ years of professional Java/J2EE development experience Solid understanding of databases such as SQL, Mongo DB as well as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Familiarity with agile development cycles & rapid prototyping Work collaboratively with web designers and marketing on contents A creative and organized developer who thrives in both an independent and small team environment A strong passion for progressive user experience and web development #J-18808-Ljbffr
