Job Title: Java Web Application Architect (US Citizen Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and development of enterprise-level web applications using Java technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, security, and performance.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Define technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for web application development.
  • Oversee the integration of third-party APIs, microservices, and other backend services.
  • Ensure that the architecture aligns with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems to improve performance and user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and frameworks, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve the development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Java development, with at least 3 years in a software architect or lead role.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate, and related technologies.
  • Extensive experience with web technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
  • Deep knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems with high availability.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
