The ideal candidate will assist in creating, testing, and implementing job code, ensuring all requests are processed accurately and efficiently. With guidance, you will leverage job control languages such as WFL, CL, and AJS to streamline job executions, investigate problem situations, and provide timely resolutions. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and adherence to change control practices.Required Skills and Qualifications:Familiarity with WFL, CL, and AJS job control languages.Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict change control practices.Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to job control processes.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and other departments. Key Responsibilities:Job Code Development and Implementation:With direction, create, test, and implement job code in accordance with established change control practices.Ensure that all job code is properly documented and meets the required standards and deadlines.Job Control Languages Utilization:Process incoming requests using WFL, CL, and AJS job control languages, ensuring jobs are executed correctly and efficiently.Maintain and update job control scripts based on evolving system requirements and user needs.Issue Resolution and Problem Solving:Assist in researching and resolving problem situations that arise with job executions.Troubleshoot job control failures and work with teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Timely Job Execution:Ensure all assigned tasks and requests are completed within designated timeframes, ensuring accurate and on-time execution of job code.Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with team members and other stakeholders to understand job requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Provide regular updates on job execution status and any challenges encountered.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in job code development and change control processes.Knowledge of automation and job scheduling tools.Familiarity with mainframe systems and job management utilities.
