Job Overview

Blue Horizon Energy is seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our high-performing construction team. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge solar energy, battery storage, and EV charging projects across Minnesota and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing industry, with consistent, year-round work and strong pathways for advancement.

As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll lead project-level electrical construction work alongside apprentices and other tradespeople, helping us build sustainable, high-performance systems for commercial, industrial, and utility clients. Travel is a part of this role—ideal candidates should be comfortable working on projects across state lines.

  • Lead and perform electrical construction for solar, battery, and EV projects.
  • \n
  • Supervise apprentices and technicians on-site.
  • \n
  • Interpret electrical blueprints, single-line diagrams, and site plans.
  • \n
  • Ensure work complies with NEC code and safety standards.
  • \n
  • Utilize hand and power tools for various construction tasks.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with project teams to meet deadlines and quality goals.
  • \n
  • Travel to project sites as needed (company-provided per diem and travel support).
  • \n
Qualifications
    \n
  • Valid Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License (Master license welcome).
  • \n
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of NEC code and electrical safety best practices.
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical diagrams.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
  • \n
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • \n
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to travel.
  • \n
  • Solar experience is preferred, but not required.
