Journeyman Plumber Apply
Malace|HR is seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber to support maintenance operations at a prestigious college campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures in accordance with local plumbing codes and standards. This is a full-time, on-site role with standard daytime hours and participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fixtures, drainage systems, and water heaters.

Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and related infrastructure.

Install new plumbing systems and components as needed.

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.

Ensure all work complies with applicable laws, codes, and safety regulations.

Maintain tools and equipment in safe and proper working condition.

Accurately document work orders, service reports, and materials used.

Respond promptly to emergency calls during assigned on-call rotation.

Collaborate with other maintenance and facilities staff to ensure smooth campus operations.
Qualifications:

Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License (TDLR-required).

Minimum of 3–5 years of plumbing experience, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting.

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and materials.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical work in varying environments.

Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred.
