Overview Junior Data Scientist / Sr Analyst OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, Data Analytics, and Information Technology. Responsibilities OCT currently has an opening for a Junior Data Scientist to support an existing federal client with data analysis and predictive model development on the Databricks platform. Data cleaning and ETL development with SQL and Python Data analysis using SQL and Python Building pipelines in Databricks Building visualizations with Databricks Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen Minimum B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar Minimum 3 years of professional experience Familiarity with FAIR principles, data governance, and AI ethics Hands-on experience with Databricks features such as Unity Catalog setup, privilege models, and workspace administration required Databricks certifications are preferred Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills Location: Hybrid, with 2 days/week in the McLean, VA office Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Retirement savings 401K plan provided by an industry leading provider with 3% employer contributions of the employee's gross salary Paid Time Off and Standard Government Holidays Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term disability benefits Training Benefits Salary Range: $80k - $100k commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
