Location: Port Huron
Shift: 8am-4pm
Payrate: $17-18/hour depending on experience
JOB SUMMERY -
If you are looking to turn your job into a career you have landed at the right place.
This position works as a assistant to the supervisor. You will be responsible to help with mold and die changes. Thus, knowledge of Mold setting is a must.
Additionally, you will be responsible to maintain the plastic injection machines as they cycle out parts. Responsibilities include filling machines with plastic pebbles.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Key Requirements -

Ensuring timely completion of all scheduled mold changes

Expertly setting up molds and related functions, including watering, knockout, and hot runner setup.

Setting parameters of molding presses according to process verification sheets

Conducting mold pulling and resetting for repairs

Loading and unloading mold-carrying trucks

Installing and removing auxiliary equipment from the molding floor

Maintaining organization in the mold storage areas and setting supplies

Completing all paperwork accurately and on time, in line with company procedures

Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, both internal and OSHA-mandated

Upholding high standards of housekeeping

Position Requirement:

A High School Diploma or GED

1-2 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding mold setting

A strong commitment to safety

Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record

Solid mechanical aptitude

Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently

A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to embrace new processes

Proficiency in operating powered lift equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and cranes
