Position: Junior Help Desk Support
Location: Gurnee, IL (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
I am looking for a Junior Help Desk Support professional to assist with daily IT operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will support end users, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth computing operations across the organization. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with early-career IT experience who is looking to develop their technical skillset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an IT liaison for computing operations
  • Respond to and resolve assigned help desk tickets in a timely manner
  • Provide support to end users on hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues
  • Set up and configure desktops, laptops, user accounts, and assign appropriate security levels
  • Maintain help desk tracking records
  • Manage software and hardware inventory
  • Maintain and update IT documentation
  • Organize server room and IT storage areas
  • Support network and security-related tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ year of experience in Help Desk, Customer Service IT support, or PC Technician role
  • Experience with computer and printer maintenance and repair
  • Associate’s Degree required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Technical Exposure
  • Microsoft O365
  • Firewall concepts
  • Client-server environments
  • Network security and protocols
  • Desktop and laptop hardware support
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in IT
  • Ability to work independently
