Position Overview:

The Junior Production Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of ReelShort productions. This role involves sending contracts, cost tracking, and ensuring that all financial transactions are documented and reported accurately. The Production Accountant works closely with producers and other departments to ensure financial efficiency throughout the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Tracking and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all production costs.
  • Paperwork Processing:
    • Sending and tracking payroll documents, including contracts and invoices.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and approved.
  • Financial Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Prepare and manage financial cost reports as required.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Act as a liaison between production teams and accounting departments.
    • Communicate financial information to the production team and casts, ensuring they sign all paperwork accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in production accounting, film, or the television industry is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Culver City, CA, for 3 days a week
