Compensation and Location Salary Range: $3,679/month to $4,929/month; Starting Salary DOQ, DOE Location: District Court Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week); FLSA non-exempt; Courthouse Union, Benefits Apply; Open Until Filled Benefits County pays $1,550 per month towards medical, dental, vision, life insurance and employee assistance program for employee and eligible family members Retirement: Walla Walla County full time employees are eligible for Washington State Department of Retirement Services (DRS) HRA Veba account: Employer contribution may apply Wellness program Access to MetLife Pet Insurance Deferred compensation plans offered Twelve paid holidays annually Vacation accrual based on seniority (see Union Contract) Benefited employees shall accrue sick leave benefits at the percentage rate of hours worked per week, to a maximum of eight (8) hours earned per month based on a forty (40) hour workweek but not less than one (1) hour per every forty (40) hours worked per County Policy 30.05.0 Visit Walla Walla County Website for detailed benefits information. Job Duties and Responsibilities Performs a variety of intermediate-level clerical work of moderate difficulty and complexity requiring general knowledge of court procedures and department functions such as all data entry, filing, and processing of court documents and the processing of traffic cases and paperwork. Employee receives general supervision from Administrator or supervisor as assigned. The employee carries out recurring assignments independently and on his/her own initiative. Employee receives specific instruction for any new implementation or unusual assignments. Bilingual is desired and must possess strong computer skills. Working Environment / Physical Abilities Work is generally performed in an office environment. Must possess physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Physical abilities required for this position are those typically related to office operations including manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate personal computers and other office equipment, access file cabinets, both on site and off site, and sufficient hearing and ability to communicate verbally. Minimum Qualifications / Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of progressively responsible clerical experience, including one (1) year of legal office experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.
