Patriot Capital - Junior Credit Analyst

Summary

The Junior Credit Analyst (“Analyst”) position involves analyzing financial data to assess the risk of lending money. The position will require the Analyst to review loan data on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other banks, and commercial data, then compile that data into spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions for review by affiliated banking officers.

Functions

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and completing loan submission packages within company and industry guidelines.

Complexity of functions may include:

1.     Reviewing financial statements

2.     Applicable ratios (i.e. debt ratios, loan-to-value)

3.     Examining transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness

4.     Ensuring that documents are consistent and uphold to company and industry guidelines

5.     Implementing fraud detection techniques

6.     Performing compliance reviews

7.     Completing/facilitating transaction memos for submission to funding sources

8.     Processing business loan reports

9.     Spreads commercial financial statements. Completes personal financial statement and cash flow

analysis. Understanding and explaining industry and market dynamics. Third party verifications.

Education/Experience

• College degree or equivalent industry experience required.
• Proficient with PC and associated software.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Requires excellent analytical and problem solving skills, along with strong organizational skills.
