Automotive Injection Molding & Automated Assembly

1st Shift | $65K–$75K

If you’re currently working in controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering and want more hands-on PLC ownership, broader system exposure, or a stronger voice in process improvements; this role offers that.


We are looking for an Automation Engineer who wants to move beyond basic troubleshooting and gain deeper involvement in automation development, line integration, and continuous improvement initiatives within a stable automotive manufacturing environment.


What You Would Be Doing

  • Programming and modifying PLC/HMI systems (Omron, Keyence, Pro-face)
  • Supporting automated injection molding and assembly equipment
  • Troubleshooting robotics, sensors, I/O systems, and control circuits
  • Improving cycle times and equipment uptime (OEE focus)
  • Supporting new model launches and automation integration
  • Driving root cause analysis and countermeasures
  • Collaborating with production, tooling, maintenance, and quality teams


This role will have visibility into engineering decisions and automation strategy.


Ideal Background Must Haves

You might be a good fit if you currently have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in injection molding within the automotive industry
  • A Junior Automation or Controls Engineer wanting broader PLC ownership
  • A Manufacturing Engineer with strong automation exposure
  • Experience with PLC programming (Omron, Keyence, Pro-face, etc.) is important.
  • A Controls Technician ready to step into an Engineering title
