📍 Location: Onsite – Morgan Hill, CA

💲 Pay Range: $65,000–$70,000 annually

🕒 Employment Type: Fulltime

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support purchasing operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials and services, supporting supplier relationships, and helping maintain cost, quality, and delivery goals for production.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career buyer looking to grow within manufacturing and supply chain operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase and expedite materials and services to support manufacturing schedules
  • Track orders, update delivery status, and resolve supplier delays
  • Communicate with suppliers to manage commitments and performance
  • Research vendors, negotiate pricing, and coordinate deliveries
  • Monitor supplier performance for cost, quality, and service
  • Support cost reduction and pricing improvement initiatives
  • Handle urgent and time-sensitive procurement needs
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or purchasing certification preferred
  • Experience with electronic or electromechanical components is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Microsoft Office
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
