Position Overview:

As a Junior Financial Analyst - Strategy at Augmentjobs, you will play a key role in supporting the strategic decision-making process by providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations. You will work closely with senior analysts and other departments to evaluate financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in the development of strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis:

    • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives.

    • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.

  • Strategic Planning:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans by providing financial insights and projections.

    • Support the evaluation of new business opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and market expansions.

    • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

  • Data Management:

    • Collect, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from various sources.

    • Develop and maintain financial models and databases to support strategic analysis.

    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all financial reports and analyses.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support strategic projects.

    • Communicate financial findings and recommendations effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

    • Provide support in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, or a related role.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis techniques.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL) is a plus.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    • Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

  • Other Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics is an advantage.

    • Certification (e.g., CFA Level 1, CPA) is a plus but not required.
