Overview: We are seeking a motivated Junior Investment Banking Analyst to join our dynamic Energy & Power team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the finance industry with a focus on energy sector transactions. As a Junior Analyst, you will assist senior team members in executing financial advisory services, conducting market research, and analyzing industry trends. This position is hybrid/remote, providing flexibility while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior analysts and associates in the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions within the Energy & Power sector.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence processes.
- Prepare pitch materials, presentations, and financial reports for client meetings and internal discussions.
- Perform industry and company research to support business development initiatives and client engagements.
- Assist in drafting transaction documents, including offering memoranda and financial summaries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and operations to ensure transactional accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends affecting the Energy & Power sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Prior internship or work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.).
