Junior Network Administrator Apply
The Junior Network Administrator performs a wide variety of supportive technology services to ensure the proper connection and performance of agency wide computer data systems. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES : Perform diagnostics of network issues, provide support for service desk staff Write and maintain programming documentation Update and maintain network documentation, assign IP addresses, save device configurations Configure network devices for new deployments per direction of senior staff, configure replacement network devices from backup configuration files Assist with the administration and maintenance of IP based telephony systems; such as but not necessarily limited to provisioning handsets, setting up extensions, supporting user requests. Assist in supporting network servers and internal corporate servers. Assist in user desktop issues, help with computer software installation, solve email access and routing issues, assist with desktop backup and archiving. Perform day to day operational tasks such as proactive maintenance, management, monitoring performance, incident and problem management, security, and backup and recovery across the network infrastructure. Maintain software from various vendors Maintain and document network cabling. Maintain, configure and document network printers Self-motivated to learn and acquire new skills. Maintain up to date industry knowledge. Other related duties as assigned Education/Experience: Associates degree or college diploma in computing Minimum 3 years’ experience in diagnosing, repair, maintenance and support of stand-alone PC’s and networks including software Licensure/Certification: Rate of pay for this role is $26.00-28.00 per hour DOE.
