The Opportunity Within Aeroflow, the Product Engineering organization consists of more than 100 software engineers organized across several product delivery teams, including Internal Applications, API, React Platform, Adobe Commerce, and Innovation. You'll join an experienced engineering organization that values collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced software engineers, technical leads, product owners, QA specialists, and business stakeholders to help build and support applications that improve the experience of more than one million patients nationwide. Our team focuses on: Building modern applications using TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, and AWS Developing scalable middleware APIs and backend services Supporting cloud-based applications that power our digital experiences Collaborating across engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions Exploring emerging technologies, including AI, to improve automation and operational efficiency This is an outstanding opportunity for someone early in their software engineering career who is eager to learn from experienced engineers, strengthen their technical skills, and contribute to meaningful work in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Your Primary Responsibilities Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript Support the development and enhancement of Next.js applications and middleware services Partner with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, improve existing applications, and deliver new functionality Learn modern cloud development practices while working with AWS services such as SQS Participate in code reviews and use feedback as an opportunity to grow your engineering skills Contribute to AI-enabled initiatives focused on document processing and workflow automation Collaborate with engineers, product owners, QA specialists, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute during two-week sprint cycles Follow established engineering standards and best practices for writing clean, maintainable TypeScript code Skills for Success Strong JavaScript fundamentals and an eagerness to continue learning Curiosity and enthusiasm for modern software engineering technologies Ability to solve problems while asking thoughtful questions and seeking feedback Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work closely with teammates Adaptability in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment Attention to detail and commitment to writing quality code Effective written and verbal communication skills Interest in cloud technologies, AI, and modern web application development Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
