KC-46 MTS Training Subject Matter Expert (SME)Salary Range: $45.00 - $47.00 HourlyPosition Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyEducation Level: Relative ExperienceTravel Percentage: As RequiredJob DescriptionThe KC-46 Maintenance Training System (MTS) Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports the advanced KC-46 Maintenance Training System by maintaining the serviceability of Augmented Hardware Training Devices (AHTDs), Virtual Maintenance Training System (VMTS) classrooms, on-site Systems Integration Lab and Information Technology infrastructure. This position supports Air Force formal maintenance training through maintenance subject matter expertise and is 100% on-site. Daily and weekly work hours will be managed to meet training mission requirements. Must be able to pass a background check for Military Installation and Facility Access.Key Responsibilities:Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on AHTDs, VMTS and Support Equipment to ensure operability.Inventory management, oversight and coordination of site material (not limited to, reporting proper stock levels, utilization of on-site spares to accommodate 98% availability rate, etc.), control of tools, support equipment (SE), and spares, and oversight and coordination with the Boeing Site Lead and USAF customer of the calibration of tools and support equipment.Manage, maintain, update and ensure the calibration schedule of all support equipment, tooling and test equipment required to meet the training device availability requirements.Assist with annual inventories.Support schoolhouse class scheduling by loading class requests within the LMS and supporting and coordinating tool and support equipment requests by instructors.Provide assistance to instructors as needed in operation of all training devices.Document and maintain discrepancies and corrective maintenance actions in forms binders and maintenance data collection system.Provide technical inputs to support the development of documents detailing the MTS maintenance procedures for training devices.Confer with the onsite program leaders, the government, other contractors, and teammates to maintain a training infrastructure to support the requirements of the training material and method of instruction.Maintain a safe work environment (follow OSHA, AFOSH, & other safety regulations; proper wear and use of PPE).Support other functions as required.Role QualificationsRequired Qualifications/Experience:At least three years of O-Level or I-Level aircraft maintenance experience.Understanding and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical system fundamentals.Technical expertise and experience in the aircraft platform is not required and may be replaced with expertise in another aircraft platform at the discretion of the Program Manager.Will be current within 3 years of modern technology for rated platform and/or have equivalent current skills closely aligned with the specified rating/skill on the platform.Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including MS Windows, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Three to five years' operational experience in aviation maintenance.Physical Requirements:Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects over 25 pounds.Ability to remain standing for extended durations and perform repetitive motions as required.Must possess the physical capability to safely ascend and work on maintenance stands, platforms, and ladders during maintenance operationsPreferred Qualifications/Experience:Operational experience in maintaining and troubleshooting KC-46 aircraft.Knowledge or experience with Military Training Methodologies.Soft Skills: Strong communication skills when collaborating with teammates, interfacing with customers, and coordinating with mission partners.
