Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Maintain high animal health and welfare standards by following prescribed procedures, protocols and policies.
Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of all kennel facilities, equipment and supplies.
Responsible for handling, feeding and the exercise of all animals.
Monitor the behavior of animals to identify abnormal conditions and injuries requiring treatment and report to Kennel Lead.
Administer vaccinations, treatments, and medications approved by the Shelter Manager.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations about animal health and welfare.
Assign dog walking volunteers specific dogs for each shift.
