We are seeking a driven and strategic Key Account Manager to join our commercial team. This high-impact, customer-facing role focuses on developing and expanding long-term relationships with key accounts while identifying opportunities to grow market share. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge, strong consultative sales skills, and a passion for delivering tailored solutions that drive value for both the customer and the business.
What You’ll DoCustomer Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with assigned customers and prospects.
Act as a strategic advisor by deeply understanding customer goals, challenges, and operations.
Proactively address customer issues with urgency and follow-through.
Conduct regular customer visits, including biannual in-person business reviews for key accounts.
Identify and pursue opportunities to increase share of wallet within existing accounts.
Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with company objectives and market conditions.
Create strategic account plans that target key growth opportunities.
Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs.
Use a consultative sales approach to uncover pain points and provide meaningful solutions.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
Effectively handle objections and transform challenges into long-term opportunities.
Manage a well-organized sales pipeline and document all activity in the CRM system (CE).
Track customer interactions, follow-ups, and opportunities with accuracy and consistency.
Provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports to the Commercial Director.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend action plans.
What We’re Looking ForBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, Business Administration, or relevant field; equivalent technical work experience will be considered.
5+ years of experience in B2B account management, business development, or outside sales.
Proven success managing complex sales cycles and key account relationships
Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable working independently while staying aligned with team objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, CE).
Familiarity with seasonings, smoked seasonings, spices, or flavoring products, especially in a sales or product application context.
Additional Information
Travel: This role might require approximately 50–60% travel within the assigned territory for in-person client visits and business reviews.
