Key Account Manager
Travel Requirement: ~50–60% within assigned territory

We are seeking a driven and strategic Key Account Manager to join our commercial team. This high-impact, customer-facing role focuses on developing and expanding long-term relationships with key accounts while identifying opportunities to grow market share. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge, strong consultative sales skills, and a passion for delivering tailored solutions that drive value for both the customer and the business.


What You’ll DoCustomer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with assigned customers and prospects.

  • Act as a strategic advisor by deeply understanding customer goals, challenges, and operations.

  • Proactively address customer issues with urgency and follow-through.

  • Conduct regular customer visits, including biannual in-person business reviews for key accounts.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase share of wallet within existing accounts.

Sales Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with company objectives and market conditions.

  • Create strategic account plans that target key growth opportunities.

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs.

  • Use a consultative sales approach to uncover pain points and provide meaningful solutions.

Negotiation & Closing
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Effectively handle objections and transform challenges into long-term opportunities.

Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
  • Manage a well-organized sales pipeline and document all activity in the CRM system (CE).

  • Track customer interactions, follow-ups, and opportunities with accuracy and consistency.

  • Provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports to the Commercial Director.

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend action plans.


What We’re Looking ForBasic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, Business Administration, or relevant field; equivalent technical work experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B account management, business development, or outside sales.

  • Proven success managing complex sales cycles and key account relationships

  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Comfortable working independently while staying aligned with team objectives.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, CE).

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with seasonings, smoked seasonings, spices, or flavoring products, especially in a sales or product application context.


Additional Information
  • Travel: This role might require approximately 50–60% travel within the assigned territory for in-person client visits and business reviews.
