Contract Opportunity: Operations Lab Technician (Human Factors)
Location: Sunnyvale, Ca
Duration: 12 months with potential extension
Employment Type: Contract
Pay rate: BR/hr
About the Role
We re seeking a skilled and hands-on Operations Lab Technician (Human Factors) to support the setup, maintenance, and operation of da Vinci surgical system platforms, Instruments & Accessories (I&A), and Advanced Technologies.
In this role, you ll ensure seamless lab operations, manage logistics, and maintain equipment to support Human Factors labs and customer engagements. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for operational excellence in a dynamic lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and tear down da Vinci systems for Human Factors studies and customer engagements.
Maintain and manage inventory of systems, instruments, and accessories.
Track and log system and I&A asset details including location, repair status, and availability.
Coordinate system shipments, returns, and loaner logistics.
Oversee lab organization and readiness, ensuring all equipment is operational and properly maintained.
Troubleshoot and resolve system or accessory issues as needed.
Partner with Operations leadership to identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor s degree or equivalent technical education/certification.
3+ years of experience in lab operations, technical support, or equipment maintenance (or 6+ years without a degree).
Strong organizational and administrative skills, with experience managing inventory and technical assets.
Knowledge of surgical or laboratory equipment, materials, and procedures preferred.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Flexible schedule with willingness to work overtime as needed.
Reliable mobile phone for timely communication.
FSE certification on da Vinci platforms preferred.
