Job Description:
- This laboratory is responsible for high throughput Seed Quality Testing to support the Product Supply Organization within a large agricultural company.
POSITION SUMMARY-
- Performs laboratory tasks under the direction of a FTE such as dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, reagent preparation, and other routine laboratory tasks.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in operating equipment for data generation.
- Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks within the laboratory.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Under the guidance of a FTE, conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Education Requirement(s):
- Minimum of an associate degree in a scientific field
Skill & Competency Requirements:
- (list 3 to 5 non-negotiable items such as years of experience, industry of preference, specific knowledge items, professional certifications, skills, abilities, etc.)
- Associate degree in a scientific field.
- The ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
- The Ability to stand while working for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours)
- The ability to conduct repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
- Preferences: (list nice-to-haves such a specific knowledge items, certifications, skills, abilities, etc.)
- We prefer the candidates to have experience in a fast-paced and/or team-based environments.
