Job Location: 32100 Stephenson Hwy., Madison Heights, MI 48071

Position Tye: contract( 12 months) with possible extension

Pay Rate $27/hr onw2 with benefits

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry with prior laboratory experience preferred

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an Analytical laboratory highly desirable;
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and powerpoint.
• Ability to understand and follow direction with method testing and equipment usage/support;.
• Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.; Work in a fast-paced high-volume environment and perform tasks assignments with limited supervision;

Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
• Conduct sample testing of coatings characteristics on coated substrates using established procedures;
• Evaluate, collect and record data into software applications; operate physical and analytical testing equipment; document all necessary entries for quality (standard checks/verifications). –
• Be responsible for general laboratory cleanup and other general lab duties as assigned;
• Work effectively and efficiently on major project teams; - Customer interfacing (communication; correspondence; etc.);
• Compliance and understanding of corporate standards (Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, etc.)
