CURRENTLY SEEKING - LAB TECHNICIAN: Recent Science Graduates
TECH 2000 is currently seeking recent college graduates for several assignments at our client facilities in the Baton Rouge area.
Job specific details will vary by client location but typical shift is 12hr rotating schedule and the pay range is $20-25/hr.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry science related field
- Academic experience with analytical techniques including GC, HPLC, ICP, wet chemistry methods
- Any industrial lab analysis experience is helpful!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing to determine and report final product quality status to manufacturing
- Accurately input all data into LIMS system and record test results in a legible manner in designated logbooks.
- Conduct job tasks in a professional manner utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique.
- Accurate review and generate customer COAs.
- Retain all finished samples and maintain retain storage in orderly condition.
Job Skills
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and LIMS experience preferred
- Identify and understand properties and hazards of chemicals
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and customers.
- Aptitude for high precision work
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of statistics and physical chemistry
