Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:
Print food ingredient labels and/or other custom labels to meet country and customer requirements for export. Record Production and/or Expiration dates and enter onto existing labels after verifying shelf-life requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.

Print label:
To print an Arabic label, enter in the Production and Expiration dates into a protected Excel worksheet.
Access the labeling program, select the correct label template, select the item #, print out the correct quantity of labels.
Verify that the text is legible and that the country and customer requirements are met.
Apply a sample label to log sheet and initial that the label is complete.
To print a non-Arabic label, select the size of the label, copy and paste the label from Microsoft Word, paste into the labeling program, size the text to fit onto the label, print out the correct quantity of labels.
Verify that the text is legible and that the country and customer requirements are met.
Apply a sample label to log sheet and initial that the label is complete.
Communicate to the product registration team any labels that need correction.
Prints labels in an order to keep the workflow constant on the floor.

Verify shelf life:
Confirm product will have enough shelf life upon the customer’s receipt date by entering Production and Expiration dates into an Excel spreadsheet calculator.
Verify that the shelf-life difference between the Production and Expiration dates matches the shelf life in the warehouse management system (SWMS)
If either of the Production or Expiration date is missing on the case, enter the shelf life from the warehouse management system to calculate the missing data.
If the shelf life will arrive at the customer with less than 50%, email the Labeling Supervisor with the pertinent information
Place a placard on the product to indicate the product cannot ship until the customer approves the shelf life. If the shelf life on the case does not match the shelf life in SWMS, email the Labeling Supervisor with the pertinent information

Count Product:
Physically count the quantity of a product on the floor for each Production and /or Expiration Date of the Shipment’s SKU's using the Shipment’s Pull Sheets

Save labels:
Save newly created labels into the correct folder on the Labeling shared drive. Remove inactive labels to the Archived Folders

Paperwork:
Return Pull Sheets to the Labeling Lead at the end of the shift.
Place sample labels in labeling folders for the QA and Labeling Lead to approve.

Stock
Stock shelves with labels in the Labeling Printer’s area.
Additionally will perform other duties in the operation as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Manufacturing or food industry experience preferred.

Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to learn AS400 and Warehouse Management systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. often and up to 80 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to work in both ambient and freezer temperatures.
Ability to read & speak English.
Ability to work flexible hours. Preferred - Spanish & Arabic literacy
