Labor Relations RepresentativeCleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Labor Relations Representative at our Tilden Mine facility in Ishpeming, MI. The Labor Relations Representative will be responsible for providing LR support to a large, diverse employee population at our Tilden Mine. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, thrive in a fast-paced work environment and have a focus on developing and fostering strong relationships.Summary of Responsibilities:Promote and maintain positive relations between the company, local union officials, and international union representative(s).Provides guidance and support to management in all areas of bargaining unit employee relations.Administers grievance handling process and procedures including full ownership of cases through the grievance process.Represent management and meet with supervisors and union representatives to investigate and resolve grievances.Participates in full cycle recruitment process of bargaining unit positions including testing, interviewing, background checks, and selection.Researches and assists in the development of labor agreement language and negotiating objectives by contributing recommendations to Manager.Gathers, prepares and analyzes technical and statistical data for use in negotiation of labor agreements, grievance processing, mediation, arbitration, fact finding and other labor relations activities.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field is required.3-5 years' experience in a human resource role with a strong emphasis in labor relations, preferably in a unionized industrial environment.Demonstrated ability to foster strong, positive relationships with Company Management and Union leadership.Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex administrative processes.Strong investigation and interviewing skills.Proactive labor relations approach with a goal of minimizing escalation of employee concerns.Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience in independently assessing and resolving a variety of labor/employee relations issues.Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates from outside the local area.Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
