Job Description *A client of Insight Global is looking for a Labor Support Specialist to oversee all labor relations within their organization, ensuring compliance with the collective bargaining agreement. This role involves participating in employee investigations, administering disciplinary actions, and responding to and settling grievances. Acting as the liaison between management and employees on labor matters related to the hourly workforce, the specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a fair and consistent process for addressing labor disputes and concerns.Essential functions of the Labor Support Specialist include overseeing investigations involving union hourly employees, collaborating with leaders on the administration of discipline, and drafting effective incident reports. The specialist participates in hourly discipline meetings with employees and union representatives, including terminations, and prepares for, attends, and leads all recurring labor relations meetings. Additionally, the specialist manages information and documents for arbitrations, coordinates job evaluations for union positions, assists in forecasting labor needs, and oversees the separation process for hourly personnel. Providing support and participating in contract negotiations are also key responsibilities of this role.Required Skills and Experience *- Required Skills and Experience:• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field• 3+ years of experience within unionized environment• Strong expertise in labor practices, employee relations and organizational support to foster a positive work environment.• Strong computer skills using MS Office suite of products required.• Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of people within our fast-paced organization required. Must have strong judgment skills as well as the ability to think ahead, prepare action plans to achieve results, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.• Strong experience within negotiationsNice to Have Skills and Experience- Plusses• Working knowledge of Human Capital Management Systems and payroll systems• Background within a manufacturing or production setting
