On-Board PMO is currently hiring Lab & Quality Administrator Assistant in Corpus Christi / Ingleside, TX! Position Title: Laboratory & Quality Support Specialist Department: Quality / Laboratory Operations Location: Chemours – Corpus Christi Plant Reports To: Quality Manager FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt Starting Pay: $25 - $27/hour Shift: 8am - 4:30pm Position Summary The Laboratory & Quality Support Specialist supports the Laboratory, Quality, and Environmental programs through accurate data management, sample processing, inventory coordination, and compliance-driven documentation. This role ensures operational continuity by maintaining critical laboratory records, supporting quality systems, and facilitating environmental sample workflows. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver timely, accurate information across multiple functional teams. Key Responsibilities Laboratory Operations Inventory Management Conduct weekly Core Lab inventory to ensure all materials and supplies are accounted for and available as needed. Order laboratory supplies, receive shipments, and properly stock materials to maintain operational readiness. Manage gas orders and maintain gas inventory for laboratory processes. Approve invoices and resolve issues related to purchase orders and vendor payments, facilitating smooth procurement and financial processes. Record Keeping and Documentation Maintain laboratory records, including both physical and electronic Certificates of Analysis for chemical standards. Enter raw material Certificate of Analysis information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure traceability and compliance. Perform and document weekly balance checks to uphold measurement accuracy. Complete special sample send-outs and log all corresponding test results. Waste Management and Safety Compliance Coordinate the removal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials in accordance with environmental and safety protocols. Prepare Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, adhering to internal procedures to ensure proper identification and handling of chemicals. Maintenance Submit maintenance notifications to address equipment needs and support Stores setup requests as required. Quality Program Support Documentation Maintenance Regularly update Quality and Analytical Manuals, to ensure that procedures and guidelines remain current and accurate. Data Tracking and Reporting Support the updating of customer scorecards within Salesforce, reflecting the most recent metrics and feedback received from customers. Enter items into ETQ Reliance, including Action Items (AIs), audit items, and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), for proper tracking and resolution. Log quality reports and nonconformance reports promptly to maintain transparency and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain Customer Service Metrics. Environmental Support Coordinate the send-out of environmental samples to external laboratories according to a set schedule. Review & document environmental notification emails and associated reports to ensure that all pertinent information is accurately recorded. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in laboratory, quality, or manufacturing environments. Proficiency with data entry systems (e.g., LIMS, SAP, ETQ). Strong organizational, communication, and record‑keeping skills. Ability to handle hazardous materials according to established procedures. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial laboratory operations. Familiarity with ISO‑certified quality management systems. Knowledge of environmental sampling or regulatory reporting. Working Conditions Laboratory and office environment. Routine exposure to chemicals, pressurized gases, and laboratory equipment following proper safety protocols.
