Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Occasional overtime may be required)

Tekberry is looking for a motivated Lab Associate to work onsite with our client, a leading global manufacturing company. This is a manufacturing/production role in a laboratory environment, focused on processing fetal bovine and calf bovine serum products from harvested bovine blood. The position is 100% onsite and offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all necessary training provided. As a W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the lab for whole blood processing.
  • Process whole blood into serum using centrifugation and separation techniques.
  • Transfer serum into pooling tanks using pumps and centrifuge for further processes.
  • Strain and pour serum to separate it from red blood cells.
  • Dispose of unusable material in compliance with lab protocols.
  • Package and label serum products, ensuring quality and weight specifications.
  • Perform final product filling, documentation, and storage in freezers.
  • Conduct sampling and hemoglobin testing for quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: No prior experience required-full training provided.
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment and around bovine blood.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and attention to detail for precise measurements.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long hours, and perform repetitious movements.

Working Conditions:

  • Laboratory environment with exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures.
  • High noise levels and continuous light manufacturing tasks.
  • Significant standing, walking, and lifting.

Additional Details: This role is not healthcare-related, but candidates must be comfortable with the sight of blood. All necessary training will be provided to ensure success in the position.
