Kelly is hiring a QA Lab Technician for one of our food manufacturing clients in Calhoun, GANeed to be comfortable with walking up stairs multiple times a shifttemp to hire$21.252nd shift M-F 2pm-10:30pm Position: Lab TechnicianDepartment: QualityPrimary Purpose: Make appropriate decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods. Ensure that Kerry products are up to standards and are of high quality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Conduct required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards.• Verify conformity through measurement and assessment.• Make quick decisions and use sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods.• Ability to handle being exposed to smell and a variety of flavor products, essential oils and raw materials.• Be able to participate in safety initiatives, committees and teams.• Never take shortcuts or use the improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others.• Food safety and quality is Kerry’s priority so it’s important to adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOP's while also accurately completing required Food Safety & Quality records.• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a hazard free work area.• Other duties as assignedThe above listed duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities or duties required. Incumbents will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:• High School Diploma or GED, college degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant science is preferred.• 1+ years of experience in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment required• Experience with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FCC/USP/ASTA test methods, aseptic technique and food or pharmaceutical production preferred• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred• Organizational skills & excellent communication skills• Ability to read, write and communicate in English• Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely• Ability to strive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal and external customer-supplier relationships.Working Conditions:• Food manufacturing plant• Warehouse environment
