About the Facility – Uintah and Ouray Health Center Leave the hazards of urban life behind and apply your skills to a wide scope of health care. This ambulatory 40-hour facility is staffed by physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, and dental, optometry, and psychology providers. They provide comprehensive public health services including general medical, surgical follow-up, pediatric, prenatal and postpartum care. Dental, behavioral health, and optometry services are also available. Other clinical specialties are provided by visiting consultants and are scheduled periodically. Patients requiring more complex medical care are referred to the hospital or other contract facilities.

Laboratory Technician Qualifications Years of Experience: minimum of (6) months experience as a laboratory technician or Phlebotomist with (6) months of experience within the respective specialty. The training program may count toward the (6) months of experience.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma; A.S. Degree from an Accredited laboratory technician school, Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Technical Sciences degree (preferred) or a Phlebotomy Certificate.
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
Laboratory Technician Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy services to all ages of clinic patients in a clean, safe and effective manner.
Perform laboratory tests at the Uintah and Ouray Lab and use the available technology to enter the results into the electronic health records.
Maintain the proper quality controls, documentation and other clerical duties needed to run the laboratory.
Ensure the equipment and lab reagents are purchased and running per the appropriate government processes.
