We are hiring for one of our prime clients seeking a Lab Technician to test and inspect construction materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role involves sample collection, lab and field testing, data recording, and collaboration with production teams to maintain consistent product quality. Key Responsibilities Collect aggregate samples from quarries and stockpiles Record, analyze, and report lab and field test results accurately Maintain and calibrate lab testing equipment Perform routine aggregate testing including gradations, washes, moisture content, and deleterious material checks Enter data into aggregate quality reporting systems and create basic reports Assist with loading operations and occasional equipment operation support (Dozer relief) Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures Communicate results and quality issues with production and management teams Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred: Technical or construction materials-related degree; four-year college degree advantageous 2-year technical degree or five years of QC testing experience in construction materials can substitute for education Experience as a lab technician or in quality control preferred Knowledge of aggregate testing methods and industry standards Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills Ability to work independently and in a team Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Willingness to work outdoors in a quarry environment Understanding of safety procedures and PPE requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
