Our client, an industry leader in agricultural biotechnology, is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join their innovative team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be an integral part of the Crop Transformation Systems within the Biotechnology/Trait Discovery and Optimization department. Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location: Johnston, IA Pay Range: $22 per hour What's the Job? Follow standard operating procedures to generate high-quality transgenic and genome editing events for trait discovery and product development. Prepare explants, perform transformation, and regenerate tissue to produce transgenic or genome-edited plants. Maintain accurate electronic and legal notebook records, summarizing results and identifying areas for improvement. Execute laboratory work adhering to safety and ergonomic standards, organizing daily workflow to meet project timelines. Collaborate effectively with team members, exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skills. What's Needed? Experience in plant transformation or related laboratory techniques preferred. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols diligently. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
