Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location: Pampa, Texas Type: 9 month Contract Compensation: $24.00 per hour (day shift) / $26.00 per hour (night shift) Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0 hours per week Responsibilities Perform routine tests using laboratory devices to analyze raw materials and finished products Identify and communicate out-of-specification test results to expedite corrective actions Set up and operate testing equipment for various tests, including new or special tests Record and maintain accurate notes, data entries into databases or spreadsheets Tabulate and enter test results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of testing equipment and work areas in compliance with safety regulations Calibrate equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure quality results Notify supervisors of supply needs and support safety meetings and training Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and Responsible Care Work 12-hour shifts for vacation relief and 8-hour days as needed; overtime and call-outs may be required Requirements Secondary education (high school); technical or vocational training is a plus, 2-year college/technical degree preferred 0-3 years of laboratory experience, with preference for 1-3 years Knowledge of general lab testing and strong mathematical skills for problem solving Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook applications Willingness to accept rotating shifts, overtime, and call-outs as required Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with ability to follow instructions Collaborative attitude with good interpersonal skills Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for operating lab equipment Ability to recognize abnormal results and patterns in data Careful and precise in following testing protocols and documenting data Organizational skills to plan and prioritize workload effectively Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs / 22.7 kg System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
