Currently we have an opening for a Laboratory Technician located in Sedalia, MO. Details for the position are as follows: Pay Range: $20-$24/hour Job Description: Contract with the possibility of extending or converting to permanent based on performance and budget. Work Hours: 12-Hr shift, day shift, 7am-7pm The usual schedule is 3-4 days per week, working every other weekend, and not working every holiday. Test, evaluate, and document the quality of incoming materials, intermediate products, and the general properties of finished goods. Support productivity improvement efforts by making process measurements, observations, and audits needed to support process investigations and experiments. Qualifications: Candidate must have high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred: Experience in a physical testing lab. Preferred: Manufacturing experience. Accomplished at performing and evaluating physical measurements (i.e. reading calipers); proficient in test equipment troubleshooting techniques, scientific record keeping, and routine report writing. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems. Able to use MS Excel spreadsheets effectively, enter data in applications, and navigate basic file management systems. Detail oriented and accurate. Able to follow standard work and procedures. Self-motivated; able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
