Duties

  • Using the Electronic Document Management (EDM) and the appropriate entitlement system, accesses a variety of documents including invoices, receiving reports and procurement documents for payments to government vendors.
  • Reviews documents to ensure the information is accurate and complete IAW FAR and Accounts Payable policy.
  • Performs final audit of invoices and vouchers related to contracts.
  • Examines and analyzes contracts, modifications, and change orders for propriety, legal and adequacy of contract.
  • Serves as Work Leader by identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks to team members in accordance with established workflow, and assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.

Qualifications

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense via delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-05) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.


Specialized experience is defined as: validating, monitoring and maintaining accounting transactions and accounting records; entering accounting data into an automated financial system to process a wide variety of account transactions; identifying and researching discrepancies in account transactions and making adjustments; reconciling subsidiary ledgers to general ledgers for accounts; researching discrepancies and making adjustments.
