Summary:
The Lead Business Analyst will oversee the collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements across high-impact projects, ensuring alignment between IT solutions and broader business goals. This role involves conducting feasibility studies, developing business cases, and managing project priorities while ensuring quality and compliance. The position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on translating business needs into actionable IT solutions.

Position Info:

  • Title: Lead Business Analyst
  • Client: Amtrak
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Location: WASHINGTON, District of Columbia 20002
  • Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for various projects using structured methodologies.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop detailed business cases.
  • Create and maintain business documentation, including BRDs, process flows, and technical requirements.
  • Manage vendor selection and procurement, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
  • Monitor project performance and manage service level agreements (SLAs).

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex projects, including risk identification and planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and SharePoint 2010.
  • Experience with ARROW reservation systems, SAP, Ariba, POS, or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to lead workshops and provide actionable recommendations.
