Lead Cloud Platform Architect / AWS / Python

This client creates a SaaS platform that supports life science and pharmaceutical companies. They are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Architect to build and support AWS infrastructure. This is a full-time position, requiring three days per week on-site in Greater Boston.\n

\n In this role, you will help shape cloud architecture, develop infrastructure using tools like Python and Infrastructure-as-Code, and build reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to ensure high-quality software delivery. Additionally, you’ll guide technical decisions across the organization, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and built to handle large volumes of complex data.\n

Required Skills & Experience\n

\n
• 7 + years of experience in Cloud/DevOps Engineering
\n
• 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role
\n
• Experience designing and building systems in AWS environments
\n
• Strong proficiency in Python
\n
• Hands-on experience with data platforms, data pipelines, or data-intensive applications
\n
• Experience with API’s, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
\n
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and CloudFormation
\n
• Strong experience managing CICD systems, preferably with GitHub Actions
\n

Desired Skills & Experience\n

• Experience working with scientific data, life sciences, or lab systems (ELN, LIMS)
\n
• Experience supporting AI/ML or data platforms
\n
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
