At ManTech International Corporation, youll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead CNO Data Science Software Engineer to join our team in the Hanover, Maryland location.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Demonstrated experience with Python, Java and/or Groovy.Experience performing data analytics on logs, images, and other formats.Knowledge of Databases and General Troubleshooting (tuning and optimization, deadlocks, keys, normalization) in any Relational Database Engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer)Knowledge of streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka), including customization of data flows.Log analysis and General Troubleshooting (tuning and optimization, Search and Indexing Operations, mapping, monitoring)Understanding of Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Fluent etc) and knowledge of Opensearch APIs.Experience in Business Analytics application, support, and troubleshooting conceptsPerform system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system.Research requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.Design new capabilities or recommend improvements to existing capabilities.Demonstrated knowledge of multiple software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, TDD, Waterfall).Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming.Ensure software standards are met.Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new requirements, or to improve performance.Perform quality control on team products.Coordinate and perform software deployments for developed products.Demonstrated experience mentoring junior software developersBasic Qualifications:20 years of programming required (with a Bachelor's degree) or, in lieu of a degree, 24 years of programming experienceExperience with build environments such as Gradle or MavenExperience with Object Oriented Analysis and DesignFamiliarity with Software Version ControlKnowledge of SQLKnowledge of NoSQL databasesKnowledge of data ingest, data storage, and data processing techniques.Knowledge of agile software development methodologyKnowledge of XML and/or JSONPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of MongoDBKnowledge of ElasticSolid, demonstrable skills in troubleshooting and maintaining complex codeExperience with Subversion/GITExperience with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, Crucible)Experience using VMWare, preferably ESXEffective communication and collaboration skills.Must be able to work well in a team environment.Security Clearance Requirements:Active and current TS/SCI with PolygraphFor all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
